About Us

About the Club

The Buick Owners Club of Western Australia (Inc) was incorporated in Perth in June 1995. Our membership is approximately 80 with around 120 Buicks ranging from 1910 to 1981 models in various condition. Our full constitution document is at the end of this page.

Many of our Buicks are in fully restored or original condition and photos can be viewed on our website under Members Cars.

We hold regular runs and meetings. Our spring and autumn runs cover long weekends with overnight stays at some interesting country venues where member can relax and enjoy long dinners and social get-togethers. Our bi-monthly general meetings give members a chance to drive and show their Buicks, and exchange technical information.

Included in our membership fee is the Buick News magazine. The Buick News contains articles, technical information and items for sale or wanted from all over Australia. Members receive 11 monthly magazines with a January edition being a register of all Buicks and their owners throughout Australia.

Being a Buick owner is not a prerequisite for membership. Anyone interested in such fine vehicles is more than welcome. The annual membership fee is $90 with a hardcopy of the Buick News or $45 with an online copy.  A Membership Application Form can be downloaded from our website.

On behalf of all Western Australian members to all Buick owners around Australia and the World we wish you a warm “G’DAY” and hope that if you are ever in Town you will make yourself known to us.

CLUB RULES

The Buick Owner’s Club of WA (Inc) is a member of the Council of Motoring Clubs of WA (CMC) which represents a large number of Western Australian car clubs.  The CMC is the avenue in which clubs can access the State Government, in particular with regard to concessional vehicle licensing.

Our Club also participates in a Public Liability Insurance Scheme organized by the CMC.  Fees applied by this scheme are paid directly to the insurer and financed through contributions from club members included in the membership fees.

Membership commences upon payment of the appropriate fee and shall be for the remainder of the membership year which ceases on the 30th June.

Members agree to be bound by any rules made from time to time and/or varied by the Club.

The Buick Owner’s Club of WA (Inc) expects safe and responsible driving from its members whilst participating in club events.  Members should not act in a way as to cause damage and/or loss of property.

Members who own vehicles on concessional license are reminded that they are solely responsible for all aspects of Code 404 and the operation of a roadworthy vehicle.  A link to Code 404 guidelines is available via our website – www.westernbuicks.org

The major emphasis of the club is to promote the restoration and use of Buick motor vehicles whilst experiencing enjoyment and fun.
