In 1994 a couple of people got together and decided it would be great to
have a Buick club in the "West". A meeting was arranged with some thirty
people attending. It was decided "Yes we do want one" so a steering
committee was elected. After much leg, phone and paper work, the Buick
Owners Club of Western Australia (Inc) was incorporated in Perth on the 12
June 1995 and a real committee was elected.
Membership has varied
between 50 and 77 per calendar year with approximately 120 vehicles in
various condition. Being a Buick owner is not
a prerequisite for membership. Anyone interested in such fine vehicles is
more than welcome. Membership fees are $65
annually. If you wish to download a Membership Application Form click on the button below.
Meetings are held every
second month, usually at a member's house on Sunday. Starting about 10:30,
followed by lunch and then gathering in the member's garage and parts shed,
or just having a pleasant social chit-chat. By meeting on a Sunday, it
gives members a chance to drive and show their Buicks. A committee meeting is
held every other month.
A magazine is produced by
the Buick Club of Australia N.S.W (Inc) and distributed to New South Wales,
Queensland & Western Australian members on a monthly basis. We receive 11 monthly
magazines with a January edition being a register of all vehicles and
their owners throughout Australia.
On behalf of all Western
Australian members to all Buick owners around Australia and the World we
wish you a warm "G'DAY" and hope that if you are ever in Town you will make
your self known to us. |
