Twilight Run

Twilight Run Hillary’s Boat Harbour to Fremantle

Another enjoyable “Fish N Chip” run from Hillarys Boat Harbour down to the Freo Maritime Museum was held on Wednesday evening.

A few of we “Northerners met at Hillarys and had an pleasant, 45 minute run down the coast to Fremantle.

We were joined by the Baxters at Scarborough ( or City Beach depending on which GPS you were using)

The Fremantle Doctor had arrived early and the weather front it was bringing with it was clearly visible with the sun setting behind it.

It was pleasing to see a heap of “Southern Suburb” BUICK’S waiting for us when we arrived and great to see a few Chevs from the Chev club who had come down to join us.

Some had bought their meals down with them and a few of us ducked over to Cicerellos’ for a taste of what has become a Freo icon–Cicerellos’ Fish N Chips.

By that time the Freo Doctor was registering just under a category 4 Cyclone but the dining area outside the Maritime Museum was quite sheltered and we settled in for a very enjoyable evening.

We finished up about 9.30, just in time to watch a container ship glide down the harbour to the container terminal.

We will  be lodging a formal complaint with the Fremantle Port Authority stating that in future we expect the floor show (Container Ship arrivals) to be conducted during our meal and not just as we’re leaving.

Thanks again to all those who attended.
